Windows 7 Tip: Trick for Windows 7 - Create a shortcut yourself to Shut down, Lock and Restart

Create a shortcut yourself to Shut down, Lock and Restart: We can easily do a shutdown, restart, and lock our PC from the buttons available on Windows 7, but we can also create a shortcut on deskstop for it. Windows 7 has a solution to do this .

STEP 1: First, right click on desktop, select New and then Shortcut.

STEP 2: In the shortcut location box, you must enter the correct command as below:

Shutdown.exe-s-t 00, Shutdown.exe-r-t 00, rundll32.exe User32.dll, LockWorkStation, rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState, and rundll32.exe powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState 0,1,0

STEP 3: When you click Next in the dialog above, fill it with the name you want, probably corresponding to its function.

STEP 4: After you click Finish, you will have a new icon that you can double-click to perform shutdown, restart, or lock your computer immediately.
