Removing hidden LAN Adapter

Sometimes after we have some time to configure our computers, we become more LAN adapter (Local Area Connection # 5). As we will fill in the IP for the LAN will appear an error like: "it's already assigned to a hidden local area connection." In fact, if checked from device manager that there is only one LAN.

Solutions to overcome these problems are as follows

Go to System properties (Right-click My Computer).
Select "Advanced" tab and click the "Environment Variables".
In the "user variables" and click the New button and add the variable with the name "devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices" and fill it with "1"
Click OK to return to the system properties.
Click the "hardware" tab and click "Device Manager"
Click the menu View-> Show Hidden Devices
Now go into the Network Adapter and remove all adapters that are not needed.

Good luck
