How to check whether your computer is capable of running windows XP mode on windows 7

Windows 7 introduces a new feature that allows you to install and run applications in Windows XP environment, you can still run applications which are not supported Windows 7 by using the Windows XP mode. (A virtual Windows XP environment for Windows 7).

But not all computers support this feature, you must have a processor that supports hardware virtualization, also you need to enable it in BIOS in order to use windows xp mode.

Microsoft released HAV (hardware-assisted virtualization) detection tool that helps you check if the processor supports hardware virtualization or not.

First download and run the tool HAV, if your processor supports hardware virtualization you will get this message, and you can run windows xp mode without problems.

But if your computer does not support hardware virtualization you will get this error message tells you that it is not possible to run windows xp mode 7.

Generally, almost all new processors support hardware virtualization, so if you buy a new computer in the last two years then you can run windows xp mode.

Note: Windows XP mode is available only in Windows 7 versions of Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate.
